Portrait with Scrim

What do you see? In the picture, we can see a girl relaxing, enjoying the sun on her face and the cool breeze of the air. She has her eyes closed to portray the comfort that she's feeling, as well as how her arm is placed. We can see leaves around her that are in the same contrast, while the outer area, like the sky, is bright.

How is the work organized? The work is organized with the shapes being identifiable. You can spot the model, as well as the plants around her, and the tree far in the background. The image is focused with a lot of depth, and captures the subject of the photo, and it was done intentionally.

What is the artist trying to communicate? The image, which was taken outdoors, is both dark and light, with areas that are darker than others. It shows the contrast between the background and the model.

What do you think of the work? The image successful because it turned out how I'd like it to be. The image also portrays the natural lighting that I wanted to catch, and the contrast that I included between the model and the background, which shows how the scrim works.
